CAMPAIGN
THE STATIONARY NOMADS
Prior to globalization cultures had to travel in
order to acquire objects. These objects acted
as symbols or ‘totems’ that communicate who
they are, where they have been, and what they
are becoming. Today, we are more global, yet
more stationary than ever. No longer having to
search, we collage our identity together via
websites and mailorder. Objects we aquire no
longer communicate our unique experience,
they communicate our longing for that experience.
We are the stationary nomads.
